Before Starfield is released, you should ensure that your PC meets the requirements. If it doesn’t, you may need to make a decision: upgrading it, which could cost you close to $500 (give or take).

However, there is always the option of purchasing an Xbox Series X or S if you don’t already own one. This might be a more cost-effective solution compared to upgrading your PC. The only drawback is that you’ll be limited to 30 FPS on the console.

Let’s say you have all other minimum system requirements, but a below-minimum graphics card (like a GTX 1060). You may get away with playing with everything on low settings. Ultimately, I would recommend the recommended system requirements. If there was ever a game worthy of your PC having the best specs, it would be Starfield.

I believe the game will still be absolutely amazing on consoles. So if you need to go that route, go for it. Starfield releases in September, so depending on when you’re reading this, you still have time to plan and decide. I plan to have Starfield content when it releases.
