If you’ve been trying to get the armor and weapons (or try to upgrade the weakness exploit charm to level 3) from Fatalis in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, then you know that you will need some Fatalis evil eyes. The problem is killing Fatalis, which proves to be a difficult task. Luckly, there is a way to farm them without killing Fatalis if you have a squad willing to hunt with you.
Squad Preparation
You and your squad will need to all have Destroyer level three. It doesn’t matter what armor build they choose to have as long as they have Destroyer (Part Breaker) level 3.
Special Assignment
One of you will need to still have the special assignment for fighting Fatalis. This will not work in the event quest.
In the special assignment, if you break BOTH… of Fatalis horns then you have a super high chance (if not guaranteed) of getting an evil eye as a reward at the end of the quest. If you manage to break both horns then don’t kill Fatalis, just hit the “return from the quest” option in the option menu. Don’t hit the “abandon quest” because you won’t get the rewards.
Once you hit the return from quest option, you will come across a reward screen with the eye waiting for you. Remember, you must break both horns. This is why your squad all need Part Breaker. It makes it easier.
Make sure you are also landing your wall slams. That does big damage to its head. He needs to be on its all four legs stance in order to execute a wall slam. If you try to wall slam while he is on its two leg stance, it will not work.
Also make use of the Ballista Binder and Roaming Ballista combo. Have someone hit Fatalis with the Ballista Binder to hold it in place so the person on the Roaming Ballista can target its head easily.
Lastly, anytime Fatalis falls to the ground, you all need to be attacking the head.
