Best Mimikyu Moveset in Pokemon Sun and Moon

Mimikyu is definitely one of my favorites of the new Pokemon released in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Its ability allows you to have some sort of protection against sweepers. Its ability also allows you to become a sweeper if played right. Here’s the best Mimikyu moveset in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Recommended Ability:
Disguise

This is a no-brainer to have this ability. As mentioned above, this can save you in key situations, like if your opponent is sweeping your team with speed and power.

Recommended Moveset:
Shadow Claw
Play Rough
Shadow Sneak
Sword Dance

With Mimikyu being able to take one hit without taking damage, you will be able to have a free set up with Sword Dance. Then you could potentially sweep teams with Shadow Sneak, which is an increased priority move.

If you have some sweepers on your team, then try running Wood Hammer instead of Sword Dance. It is a very powerful grass move that has recoil damage, but they won’t expect you to have it on your Mimikyu.

Recommended Items:
Lum Berry
Red Card
Life Orb

Lum Berry makes Mimikyu complete. He has the disguise ability that allows you to take a hit and Lum berry allows you to take a status effect (thunder wave, will o wisp, toxic, etc).

Red Card boots a Pokemon that hits you out of battle, forcing your opponent to throw in another Mon. This is good paired with the Disguise ability.

Life orb is good if you would like to just set up and go. A Sword Dance with life orb and Shadow Sneak will potentially allow you to sweep teams.

Recommended Nature:
Jolly

Jolly will allow you to out-speed a lot of Mons, especially the one’s with a base 95 speed stat since Mimikyu has a base of 96. If you prefer, you could also run adamant to get the extra attack power.
