Why I Love the New Holster Mods in Destiny 2: Season of the Lost

We have some new mods to work with in Destiny 2: Season 15. Mods for the Stasis element on our armor and holster mods. At first, you may think these mods aren’t worth it, but with the right setup, these become powerful.

How to get the holster mods in Season of the Lost Destiny 2

To get these all you need to do is complete playlist activities (Strikes, Crucible, Gambit). You can also get them from legendary engrams, which I found is the fastest way. Just go to Master Rahool and purchase his legendary engrams for 35 legendary shards each.

I spent about 1000 shards and was able to get most of the holster mods. I also received a lot of the new season weapons and armor.

How they work

The holster mods gradually reload your stowed weapons over time. Multiple copies of the mod stack to reduce the time taken to fully reload. So in other words, if you have a sidearm mod it will gradually reload when you’re not using it.

How long does it take to reload

The time it takes to reload weapons may vary depending on which weapon you’re using. Fusion rifles, for example, take about 2-3 seconds to reload one bullet. Someone did a test with a sidearm that had 14 bullets and it took about 45 seconds to fully reload the sidearm.

Keep in mind that you need to mod that corresponds to that weapon. So if you want it for hand cannon, you need the hand cannon holster mod.

But that seems like a long time. It seems useless.

Like I said, at first they may seem week, but you’re forgetting something. These mods become really strong when paired with guns like the Plug One.1 fusion rifle and grenade launchers.

Remember the Loaded Question? How it gave you burst damage on the first shot and also automatically reloaded your weapon when holstered? You can basically recreate that effect with the Plug One.1 and fusion rifle holster mod.

For some reason, I don’t see a mod for special grenade launchers. Only power grenade launchers. Any other weapon that benefits from the weapon magazine being fully reloaded will also benefit. There are probably setups that I’m missing here.
