Where to Sell Contraband in Starfield

So you have some secret merchandise in your inventory and would like to venture to the dark corners of the universe to sell it? Or maybe you’d like to sneak it into a settlement? There are a couple of ways to go about this.

One way of doing it is to find or build a ship with shielded cargo and upgrade the Deception perk in the skill tree. The Deception perk decreases the effectiveness of enemy scans. Beware though, you can still get caught.

The other way of doing it is to go to a place without scans. As of right now, the only place I know of is the Wolf star system. You can land there without enemy scans.

Sell Contraband at the Trade Authority

Trade Authority is the place you’re looking for to sell items. This is the place to go when you want to sell “shady” items. They also have some items you may need to purchase.

Once you go to the Wolf star, head to the Den. Once you dock at the Den, head straight then to the left.

The vendor will have a limited amount of credits to buy your contraband. If you still have contraband to sell after he runs out of credits, just find a place to sit. Wait for 48 hours and he will have more credits to buy your contraband with.

Did you pick the Dream Home?

If you picked Dream Home when creating your character’s background, you can store your contraband in your home. Just drop it on the floor and pick it up when you’re ready to go sell it. My Dream Home was randomly placed on a breathable planet with no patrolling forces.
