Unless you’ve been living under a rock (which no one is judging you if you are) you’ve heard of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Already, we are starting to get some info about the expansion. Instead of “G-Rank” quest that many of us veteran hunters are used to, it may instead be called “Master Rank”.

These tips are for everyone, but mainly for the people who have invested a ton of hours into this game, played through all of the dlc content and already have most of the weapons and armors that they want. People who pretty much just sitting waiting for the next bit of content.

The expansion at this point is still far away. However, now is a good time for us to prepare for its arrival. Things you can do now, so that when it arrives you can just focus on the new content.

Stock up on Nourishing Extract and Dash Extract

This is so you can have a stockpile of Mega Demondrugs, Mega Armorskin and Dash Juice. I speculate that a lot of new monsters will be released with Monster Hunter World Iceborne and current monster will become stronger when added to Master Rank (we’ll call it this for now). So having a pile of these around will only help you be prepared.

Try not to use any of these extracts as much as possible while you’re farming. If you need a guide on how to go about farming these, check out this video.

Stock up on Gold Wyverian Prints

If you’ve been creating mix-sets, then you know that sometimes you need gems of some other monster just to complete the armor set. This might be the case to craft the armor/weapons of some of the new monsters that will come with Iceborne. Of course with gold wyverian prints, you can just grab them from the elder melder instead of hunting the monster 100 times hoping to get one.

Therefore, I would suggest that you continue to complete the limited bounties each week. Build up a stockpile of these so that you can just focus on hunting the new monsters and not looking for gems of current monsters.

Stock up on materials

Hunt all the monsters and stock pile their parts. If you pursue the limited bounties each week then you will pretty much be doing this. You will need to craft armor sets to battle the new monsters so make sure you have a ton of materials so you can create the armor without worrying about materials.

Doing bounties and limited bounties will also give you the armor spheres needed to upgrade these armor.

Stock up on materials like blue mushrooms, might seeds, etc. Use the Botanical Research Center while you’re out on your hunts so you can have crafting items.

If you’ve watched the video above, then you know you can use ingredients to purchase those Mega Demondrugs, Mega Armorskins and Dash Juice directly using ingredients. Barroth Scalps, Rathian Webbing and Kirin Manes are a few of the items that gives you high point value so be sure to fight those monsters for those materials.

There are certain requirements however to get some of the parts. For example for Barroth Scalps, you need to break his head before killing him.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne release date is set for
Autumn 2019. No specific day at this time but bookmark this site for more Monster Hunter World information in the future.
