Snow Globe Locations in Starfield.
Bethesda has crafted a way to pay homage to some of humanity’s most iconic and cherished events and locales in Starfield. We get to embark on a journey to once-thriving locations and landmarks such as the Empire State Building in New York and the Pyramids of Giza, all in pursuit of collecting snow globes.
These locations now lie in desolation, their grandeur faded into haunting ruins, mere echoes of their former glory. Yet, amidst the decay, the snow globes stand as beautifully crafted items that we can collect and use as decorations within our homes.
Reading books (most of them) activates the quest to find these. I will give you one location where you can find these books. However, some books can be found in multiple locations. With some other books, you’ll have to tap into your darker side and steal the book (or items needed to get the book).
After you find the book, go to the “activity” section of your “missions” page and it will guide you to the location you need to fast travel to. Most will be on Earth, which is in the Sol star system. Once here the snow globes are usually on or at the base of the structure.
London Snow Globe
You activate this quest by reading the Oliver and Twist book.
This book can be found in multiple locations. I found one in Sinclair’s Books. The Bookstore in Akila City. You can also find one at NASA base on Mars (part of the main quest so you’ll get there).
NASA Snow Globe
Speaking of the NASA base, while you’re there, there will be several NASA snow globes for you to pick up. Again, you’ll come across this while doing main missions. I don’t want to say much more and spoil anything.
Opportunity Rover Snow Globe
Continuing with the theme of the NASA Base, while you’re there make sure to check out all the exhibits. Examining the Opportunity rover exhibit will trigger the activity to find the rover’s location. The snow globe will be on the rover when you get there.
New York Snow Globe
You activate this by reading the Our Lost Heritage book.
You’ll have to reach into your darker side for this one. At the MAST headquarters in Jemison of the Alpha Centauri System, head to the President’s office by taking the elevator to Central Command. You’ll need to steal it. I just paid the fine when they caught me but maybe you have a skill that’ll allow you to not get caught.
The quest will take you to the Empire State Building on Earth in the Sol system.
Apollo Snow Globe
You get this by reading Sir Livingstone’s Second Journal book.
This book is located in Matteo’s bedroom at the Lodge on Jemison. His room is next to your room in the Lodge. This mission will take you to our Moon. Here you’ll find the Apollo lander.
Pyramids of Giza Snow Globe
You activate this by reading the Ancient Civilization of Egypt book.
You buy this book at Sinclair’s Books, the bookstore in Akila City in the Cheyenne system.
St. Louis Snow Globe (Gateway Arch)
You activate this by reading The Price of Destiny book.
You’ll have to once again reach into your darker side to get this book. Head to the Astral Lounge in Neon (Vol II star system. Right of Olympus. Planet Volii Alpha). Once in, turn left to take the VIP elevator. Turn left off the elevator and keep going until you find Benjamin Bayu in booth 4.
You’ll need to get into his penthouse to get the book off his desk. Hopefully, you have the thief skill so you can steal his key from him. After you’re done, fast travel out of there.
Hong Kong Snow Globe
You activate this by reading Maurice Lyon’s Journal.
Finding this book is easy. Just Head to Titan, which is a moon of Saturn in the Sol system. Go to the New Homestead settlement and go where the museum is. It will be sitting on a shelf.
Shanghai Snow Globe
You activate this by reading The book called Essentials of Modern Macroeconomics.
You first need to head over to the Porimma system. There will be a mysterious ship with an interesting back story orbiting around Porrima II. This ship will make a request of you. Dock with that ship.
You’ll eventually have a chance to explore that ship. You’ll need to make your way to a classroom within the ship. There are signs up above that will help guide you to the different sections of the ship.
Osaka Snow Globe
You activate this by reading The Diary of Kyosuke Nagata book.
I believe this book is located in multiple places. However, I found one inside the Crimson Fleet ship in a room behind the command area.
There may be one in the “Lock” prison. Either way, you’ll need to start the Crimson fleet quest line. I think if you steal something and turn yourself in, the Crimson quest line will activate.
Dubai Snow Globe
You activate this by reading The Race to the Heavens book.
Hopefully, you have begun the Crimson fleet quest because this next one will require you to do so. This book is in Larry Dumbrosky’s VIP room on the Siren of the Stars ship that can be found orbiting around Aranae IV in the Olympus system. You won’t find it beforehand so make sure you go through the quest line.
Are there more?
Those are all the snow globe locations I’ve found thus far in Starfield. If I find more during my daring journey across galaxies, I’ll update this post. Subscribe to Hallowpeak Gaming for more information and content on Starfield! Follow me on X.
