Palworld Early Game Tips: 5 Things You Should Do Immediately
When starting your journey through Palworld, there are things that you should do immediately to smooth out some of the issues you will face. The game does a good job of getting you started with the tutorial initially, but it can’t cover everything. Some of these you can do before setting up your first base.
Capture Foxparks
Foxparks is a Pal you will find around the area you begin. You just need to do a bit of exploring. Foxparks is a fire type Pal with a few hidden benefits.
During the night the temperature will drop and your character will get cold if you have not crafted a torch or clothes. Instead of building a workbench, finding the materials, and then crafting these things, you could find a Pal Sphere and catch a Foxparks. Aside from fighting for you, it will keep you warm and light the area around you.
Craft a shield
For a while, I didn’t know shields were a thing. Don’t be like me and go several levels and hours into the game fighting without one. It makes your life much easier. The shield regenerates after a while when you take damage. Later, you can upgrade it.
Attribute Point distribution
Where you place your Attribute Points matter. You may be tempted to spend some in Attack, but don’t. It’s better to place them into Health, Weight, and Stamina.
During battles, your Pals will do most of the damage. You’ll find that placing points in Attack doesn’t make much of a difference early on. Your struggles with Health, Weight, and Stamina will be much more apparent.
Place Vixy and Chikipi inside a Ranch
Palworld is all about building bases and catching Pals. To catch Pals, you’ll need Pal Spheres. At your bases, you’ll need to feed your Pals.
That’s where Vixy and Chikipi come in. While in a Ranch, Vixy will dig up Pal Spheres. Chikipi will pop out eggs while in a Ranch. This will provide your base with a food supply for your Pals assuming you also have a feeder and a Pal with the Transporting skill.
Custom Settings
Before starting a game, I’d recommend going into Custom Settings and turning off anything that you don’t want in your game. For example, I wanted the default setting in my game but the one thing I didn’t want was the feature where you dropped your loot when you die.
You would need to retrieve it every time you were defeated. Also, if the game bugged or crashed, you would die and your stuff would drop. I like to play games on its default settings, but that was the one thing I made an exception for.
I will have more Palworld info in the future. Subscribe to Hallowpeak Gaming, and/or follow me X as I’d like to notify you when I have new information on it. If you’re interested, I have a lot of other details on Palworld. Check out the Palworld category.
