Oathkeeper Bow Damage Test | Destiny 2 Season of the Deep

On May 10th, Bungie gave us a preview of the exotic armor changes coming with Season of the Deep. Season of the Deep is active at the time of this post. One of those changes was to Oathkeeper, giving bows an increase to damage while Oathkeeper is on.

Season of the Deep has some spicy artifact perks for Void weapons and Void Subclasses. So for my test, I used Le Monarque. You can use any bow, I used Le Monarque because I was in the process of making a build around this and Oathkeeper.

How Adamantine Brace Works in Season of the Deep

With Oathkeeper active, as you draw your bow you go through 5 damage stages. Each increasing bow damage. The stages (or tier levels) are indicated on the meter left of your screen.

Build Idea

You can put out some serious damage numbers if you use this exotic with any Weakening or damage-increasing effects of your subclass. My build has 100 Melee so I can get my smoke grenade often. Not to mention the addition of the artifact perks.

Now there are a few things to note; if you’re wondering what the bow damage is without this exotic compared to with it, without it, you only deal damage at tier 1. As for Le Monarque, the poison damage does the same no matter the damage tier level. Also, you will not one-shot players in the Crucible.

Can You One-Shot With Oathkeeper?

During my test in the Crucible, I only did about 159 damage to anyone I hit. This goes for both Le Monarque and Wish Ender. If you want, you can do a test to see what the damage is per tier of Resilience to see if the damage is higher at lower tiers of Resilience.

I don’t think it’s necessary, However. During my test, I hit several different players and did around the same damage. Even if there is a difference, chances are you won’t run into many players with low enough resilience.
