If you’ve been waiting for an action Battle Royal where you use weapons like swords, bows, cannons, and spears to defeat your opponents, then Naraka: Bladepoint is right up your alley. This game is like if For Honor and Ghosts Of Tsushima had a Battle Royal. Like traditional BR’s, you jump in, load up with weapons, armor, and healing scattered across the world, then try to be the last one standing.
Even though this game has ranged weapons, most combats end in a melee duel. That’s one thing that makes this game unique.
Combat in Naraka: Bladepoint
The combat system is simple but challenging at the same time. You basically have to guess what the opponent is going to do and try to counter it. Similar to rock, paper, scissors.
There are regular attacks, charge attacks, and counters. Regular attacks beat counters, charge attacks beat regular attacks and counters beat charge attacks. All this means that combat will be a series of mind games and whoever has the better mind game wins.
Try to quickly pick up on your opponent’s play style. If you know that they spam regular attacks, charge attacks may be the way to go.
Character Abilities
Mind games won’t be the only thing you need to be mindful of. Each character has a unique ability and ultimate ability. These will be sure to spice up that pot of combat. If you’ve played Apex Legends, then you will have a general understanding of BR’s with character abilities.
Character Customizations
Naraka has customization options that will allow you to change the appearance of your character. With the face creation tool, you can change everything from the face shape to the skin color. Some people have created characters like Yoda from Star Wars.
Outside of this, you will have character skins, gestures and other things to customize with.
