Crafting will definitely be a core part of your gameplay in Anthem. And rightfully so. In a looter shooter that has no pvp, being able to progressively build and fine-tune your character are things needed to keep players playing. So with that said, here’s a guide on how weapon and gear crafting works in Anthem.

Loot Tier Levels in Anthem

First we need to talk about about the loot tier levels. As you progress through the game you will get loot that will drop in 6 different tier levels:

  • Common
  • Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Epic
  • Masterwork
  • Legendary

One you get into the uncommon tier (and higher) of loot, they will come with stat bonuses. These come on weapons, gear and components and how many bonuses you get depend on the tier of the loot.

(Crafting) Re-rolling Stat Bonuses on Loot

Loot drops in Anthem comes with random stat bonuses. If you’ve played Destiny, then you know about replaying certain activities tens to hundreds of times trying to get a good roll on a piece of loot to drop. You can do this in Anthem but you can also use the crafting system.

Crafting in Anthem is obtaining a blueprint for a specific weapon and craft it using the required crafting materials in hopes to craft the weapon with the desired stat bonuses. Once you receive a blueprint, you can craft that specific weapon as many times as you like as long as you have crafting materials. Crafting materials can be obtained as you’re exploring the world. Some times they look like rocks and plants. You can sometimes get them from opening chests, camps and gear dismantles.

How To Get Higher Level Blueprints in Anthem

Getting higher level blueprints for specific loot will happen as you play through or completing the challenge for that weapon or gear. There may be certain ways you can target specific blueprints you want, but at the time of this article we’ve only played the demo. The challenges will be somewhere along the lines of killing a certain amount of enemies or killing a certain amount of enemies with precision hits

So this so far is what we know about the crafting system. If there are any things I need to add, I will update this article so be sure to bookmark this site and come back for more Anthem information.
