How to Win “Find Fireteam” Spots for Popular Activities on Bungie.net | Destiny 2
Have you ever been on Bungie.net trying to grab a spot in someone’s fireteam for a specific activity; only for the spots to constantly get taken by other players? Maybe you’re waiting for someone to put up a boss checkpoint in the Prophecy dungeon? But every time you try to jump in it gets filled.
Yeah, that was me too. But there’s something you can do to beat those guys to the punch. Now, whenever I’m searching for something, most of the time I get it. And I will share that mystery here.

First, make sure you have the search options changed to the event that you are looking for. For example, if you’re looking for a certain raid, make sure you change the search options to that raid. You can do that by changing the middle box that says “all activities” by default.
Next, make sure you are logged in to your Bungie.net account.
Speed clicking
Now here’s the tricky part. Make sure you are using the character that pops up first when you select “join fireteam”. When you hit the “join fireteam” button a menu pops up. In that menu, you’ll have the option to select your character ( it’ll ask if you have a mic too). One of your characters will already be up by default.
That’s the character you want to use. The reason being is for speed. If you’re trying to get into the fireteam of an activity that’s very popular, you’ll waste time selecting a character. You want to have as few clicks as possible so you can be as fast as possible.
You can try this method while selecting a character, but it may be difficult to win fireteam spots (not impossible though). Now when you see an activity that you want, all you have to do is click three buttons; the activity, join fireteam and join fireteam again.
Refreshing to be the first to see the activity pop up
Now here’s the secret. You want to be the first (or one of the first) the see the activity when someone places it up. Your initial idea will be to keep hitting the reload page button. Don’t do that.
By the time the page loads, lots of people will see the activity before you. The spot will most likely be filled before you even click on the activity.
Do this instead:
Keep hitting the “any platform” button. When the drop down menu pop up for you to select your platform, just hit “any platform” again. This will load any new activity below. So instead of refreshing the whole page, you’re just refreshing the activities. This will allow you to see the activities as soon as someone post them up.

Follow this method and you should be getting into the games (and checkpoints) that you want.
