You may have noticed after achieving the new Stasis subclass in Beyond Light, it has sections in the subclass tree for Aspects and Fragments. In this post, I will guide you on how to go about unlocking those and what they are for.

First Step

Finish the main campaign and complete the quest to get the Salvations Grip exotic weapon. You will need it for this quest.

Actual First Step

Once you’ve finished the campaign and got the weapon, speak with Elsie Bray (The Exo Stranger and Ana Brays sister ) and she will give you a quest called Born In Darkness. The first step of this quest will require you to gather Energized Either by defeating Fallen on Europa and to use Stasis melee against any combatants on Europa. This would be a good time to do some public events on Europa.

Step 2

The next step will require you to do 3 strikes with the Stasis subclass equipped and use Stasis abilities against combatants.

Step 3

Step 3 will require you to defeat Weniks’s platoon near the Crux of Darkness in Eternity. The quest will pop up on Europa (bottom left). It’s pretty straight forward. Follow the indicator to the location and defeat Weniks and his boys.

Step 4

Once you finish step 3, you’ll have to head to Lost Sector Bunker E15 and meet Elsie Bray (Exo Stranger). Do the Lost Sector normally and make sure all enemies are defeated. You’ll be escorted by some BrayTech Frames.

A door will open up next to the chest. Head inside and meet the Exo Stranger. She will talk and then ask for the skeleton key.

After this, you will then meet the Exo back at her original location and speak to her. She will then hand you another quest called Aspect of Control where you will need to locate 5 Entropic Shards on Europa.

These shards don’t have a marker telling the location and also if you do find one you’ll need the shoot it with the Salvation’s Grip grenade launcher. Here are the 5 locations.

Step 5

The last video starting point is the same as the endpoint of the one above it. Once you found all shards the quest step will update as Return to the Crux of Darkness in the Riis-Reborn Approach. Follow the way-point to the location.

Once you get to the location, you will commune with the crux and a wave of enemies will appear. Defeat them and then commune with the crux again and you will receive your first Aspect for your Stasis subclass.

One thing to note is that an overlord champion will appear so you may want to unlock an overlord perk for your armor using your season artifact or bring a weapon that has the perk.

Next step

Head back to the Exo Stranger and in her inventory, she will have Fragment quest. These are how you unlock the fragments. She will have three of these quests; Vanguard Fragment, Crucible Fragment, Gambit Fragment quests. It doesn’t matter which two you pick, just pick the activities you like most and you will then be given a straight-forward list of objectives that you need to complete. You can pick two of the same quest. I picked 2 strike quest. (You won’t need to complete both to get the fragments).

Once you complete a quest, you will be given a Memory Fragment. Take this fragment to Exo Stranger and redeem it for the Stasis Fragment of your choosing. Of course this one is for Hunter but I imagine they will be different for Titan and Warlock.

Next, go into your subtree and equip your Aspect and Fragment. Stasis Fragments cannot be equipped without equipping an Aspect first.

Aspects and Fragments provide additional perks and abilities to your Subclass tree. For now they are only for Stasis subclasses, but my guess is that they’ll do this for the light subclasses in the future.
