If you’ve ever noticed that you randomly have an indicator called “Strange Signal” or realized that you got it after killing a Valkyrie Venator, then you’ve just started the first step of a mystery quest.
If you randomly see a prompt at the bottom left-hand corner that says “Vex are responding to a strange signal” then you need to head towards the open ice field area and kill the Valkyrie Venator and minions to get this Strange Signal indicator. Once you get it, here’s what you do next.
Step 2: Head towards Nexus
Make your way inside Nexus. Once inside, you will see a glowing tree and a harpy. Don’t shoot the harpy. It’s friendly.
Once you interact with the strange tree, you will then see platforms appear over the large abyss. From here it’s pretty straightforward. You will need to jump to each area and each area will have a glowing light at the center.
Kill the enemies that spawn in each area and walk into the glowing light. The platforms will disappear after you walk into the light. Another platform will appear and you will need to jump to that one and get off the one that is disappearing.
Do this step enough times and a Monitor Hydra will appear. Kill the Hydra and a chest will appear. The chest will have legendary loot inside. Claim the chest and the puzzle is done.
