How to get Salvation’s Grip Exotic Weapon in Beyond Light (Destiny 2)

The Salvation’s Grip is one of the first “Darkness Weapons” that you will get in the Beyond Light expansion for Destiny 2. This weapon is all about those Stasis crystals. Single fire to freeze one enemy or hold to charge then release to cover an area in Stasis and freeze any nearby enemies.

Intrinsic Traits: Cryocannon

Hold to charge; release to fire. This weapon’s projectiles create Stasis crystals and freeze nearby targets.

Trait: Flash Freeze

Charging this weapon increases the freeze radius and amount of Stasis crystals created.

How to Get

Step 1-2

First, you must complete the main story for Beyond Light. You’ll know you’re done when you have to head back to the tower and update Zavala on your progress in Europa.

Once you do that, head to the Drifter and he will give you the exotic quest, The Stasis Prototype where you will have to kill 10 fallen captains and 10 servitors on Europa.

Before you do these objectives, head to Variks and complete the “Reclaiming Europa” quest step because this will need to be done before you can complete the exotic quest and some of the objectives of the exotic quest can be done while doing the reclaim quest.

Step 3

Next, you will have to eliminate combatants with or affected by your Stasis abilities.

You can do this at your own pace. You can do strikes with stasis equipped and attack enemies with Stasis abilities, casually explore Europa and strike enemies with Stasis abilities or go to an activity like the Blind Well, which may be most effective since you are getting your super and abilities often.

Step 4

You now will have to acquire skiff codes, which you will get in the Concealed Void Lost Sector on Europa.

Once you complete this loss sector (killed boss) the barrier in the back will open and one of Spider’s associates will be waiting for you. Obtain the skiff code from it.

Step 5-6

Once you get it you will then need to talk to the Drifter and he will give you a Stasis Containment Device. Once he gives you the device, you will need to do one last mission. Complete the “Stealing Stasis” mission on Europa.

You will actually be able to use the weapon during that mission. Once you finish it, talk to Drifter and the mission is done!
