If you’re new to Monster Hunter World or just simply have not dabbled much into the layered armor world, then the first thing you should understand is the purpose of layered armor. As you know, each piece of armor comes with perks that will aid you in some way during your monster battles. Part of the end game in Monster Hunter World is combining these armor pieces together in any way that you want to create perk combinations. This is what we call Mixsets.
The down side to this is that putting random armor pieces together will make your hunter look terrible. That is where layered armor come in. It allows you to cover up those armor pieces with armor sets that look better which means you will keep all your perk combinations while keeping your hunter appealing to the eye. Layered armor is simply for aesthetic purposes and have no perks themselves.

Now that we have that out of the way here’s how you get the Dante Layered armor. First you need to collect red orbs from doing the event quest “Code red” where you fight an Anjanath, Odogaron, Rathalos and Teostra in an arena. If you have pretty good armor then this wont be too challenging just make sure you bring enough supplies with you since you wont have a camp to resupply at.
This event comes on rotation so it won’t always be available. If it is not available for you then just wait til it comes around. You can check the event schedule on the Monster Hunter World website.
Next you will need to hunt arch-tempered Teostra in “The Scorn of the Sun” event quest. This will give you Teostra tickets and unlock the Dante’s Inferno delivery request (or at lease that’s when it unlocked for me). After completing it you will have to talk with the Blacksmith to open the request.
Once you’ve gathered the requested delivery items (which you can check in completed deliveries in the Resource Center) you will have it. To equip it go to your item box and go to layered armor settings. Hopefully this was helpful.
