At some point, the Exo Stranger will send you off on a quest to harness the darkness. This quest will allow you to unlock Aspects for your new darkness subclasses. One step during this quest is to find Entropic Shards. These are hidden and require the Salvation’s Grip grenade launcher to complete.

This one is in the BrayTech facility right before you meet the Clovis Bray Ai.
You should be able to see it once you make your way down.
I am unsure if these are all of them, but this should be enough to get you past the Aspect of Control and Aspect of Destruction quest lines. If more quest lines pop up and more are found, I will update this post.
