Destiny Reset day is the day that a lot of Destiny players look forward to. This day happens on Tuesday in the world of destiny and it’s the day that everything changes. Strikes receive different modifiers for the week, the Nightfall strike change and there are a set of new weekly bounties.
The Raid resets as well. Players are only allowed to play through the Raid one time on each character each week to receive any Raid-specific gear. On Destiny Reset day, players get the chance to do it all again.
With all this stuff going on, it’s easy for people to overlook the reef. There are actually reasons to go there before you journey out to complete missions in the Destiny universe. Here are some of the reasons:
Petra Venj
She has bounties (of course you knew that). If you complete her bounties and reach a new rank level, you will receive a package. This package can contain Reef-style weapons and armor that could drop at a higher light level than your current. This is a good way to increase your light level.
Variks
Every Reset Day, Variks will have a Judgment’s Honor chest waiting for you. You need to be rank 3 with Variks to start receiving these chest from him.
This chest usually includes glimmer, ammo Synthesis, consumables like ether seeds, and some upgrade materials. These items are randomized each week. This is a nice bump for your glimmer and upgrade materials, especially since it beats going out and collecting these materials from patrols.
Variks also sells Heavy Ammo for 250 glimmer and 1 Ether Seeds. By this time you probably burned through a lot of Heavy Ammo from doing Raids from the last week and need to stock up. If you have lots of Ether Seeds to spare, buying this ammo from him cost a lot less glimmer than the 950 price from the gunsmith.
