Best Perk for Loud Lullaby (and it's not Kill Clip) Destiny 2

Loud Lullaby is as of right now the only 120 rpm legendary hand cannon inside Destiny 2 that can roll with Kill Clip. Kill Clip is now the only perk in Destiny 2 that allows 120 rpm hand cannons to “two-tap”, which means kill in two headshots. This puts Loud Lullaby in the spotlight right now.

Not only can Loud Lullaby roll with Kill Clip, but it can also be paired with tunnel vision. Tunnel Vision greatly increases target acquisition and aim down sight speed for a short duration when reloading after defeating a target. Once you get both perks going at the same time you probably can land two taps with your eyes closed.

So, should you start farming for it? It all sounds good, right?

There’s one problem. The Loud Lullaby base stats aren’t exactly good. Especially when compared to the other 120 meta hand cannons right now. Once you get a kill with it, it’s game time. But you’ll find that getting the kill is the problem.

It doesn’t have much to assisted before the kill. So going after this gun for the perks when the gun itself isn’t good might not be the way to go. It’ll be like a bowl of ice cream with whip cream and cherry on top. The whip cream and cherry won’t mean much if the actual ice cream doesn’t taste good.

Fortunately, there is a perk that will juice this gun up. Make it feel snappy. And that perk is Surplus.

Surplus

I might have to make a post on how underrated this perk is. It increases reload speed, handling, and stability for each fully loaded ability. Below is an example of how much Surplus boosts per ability level at levels 1, 2, then 3.

Reload speed: 5/22/50
Stability: 5/15/23
Handling: 10/25/50

Surplus makes this gun go from sluggish, to snappy. You’ll still need to watch your range. However, this perk gives this gun a fighting chance for those who still want to rock a 120 in the kinetic slot with Kill Clip. So the god roll you want is Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Surplus, and Kill Clip.
