At this point we’ve got a pretty good taste for what Apex Legends is all about. Some of us I’m sure have been playing non-stop. This will definitely become one of the main games I play.
Becoming a good player in this game will be like most other BR’s, you will probably die a lot before you become good. It’s also good to know the ins and outs of the game too. The more you know, the better so here are 15 tips you should know for Apex Legends.
- With full health and shield, your hp (or the enemies) will be 200HP
- When shooting an opponent, pay attention to the color of the damage numbers. When the numbers are red, that means that they don’t have any shields, which your team should probably push for the attack. If you see white, blue or purple, then that is the level of their armor. If it is yellow, then you got a head shot!
- You can run faster by holding the weapon swap button and holstering your weapon.
- You can climb up the red balloons to glide large distances.
- Before launching, pay attention to your map to see where the hot zone is. That area is the high tier loot zone and gives you a chance for better loot and a fully kitted weapon.
- Pay attention to your screen when entering a new zone. It will tell you the tier level of the loot in that area. I will be creating a chart with all the tier loot levels in each area so be sure to check back here.
- If you see one of the robot spiders, shoot them. They usually have good loot inside. You will hear a strange sound when you’re close to one.
- Try to get supply drops when they come in. They have a chance for high tier loot.
- When launching you may want to consider landing on the supply ship. It is an area that usually has high tier loot.
- Pay attention to the color of your weapon’s icon in the inventory. That’s a quick way of telling what ammo you need to collect.
- If you’re not first to select when selecting a character, then hold your cursor over the character you wish to use. Your marker will be shown over that character to the other. On the other hand, if you are first to select and would like to know which characters your teammates prefer, then look for where they may place their marker. This is for anyone who don’t have or use a headset/mic.
- Stick with your team… stick… with…your…team.
- The four gear pieces have exotic versions which gives you an additional perk. The exotic knockdown shield allows you to revive yourself once, The backpack cuts healing time in half, the chest armor fully regenerates shields after a finisher. The helmet gives you faster tactical and ultimate cooldowns.
- Use ultimate accelarants. They speed up ultimates. It’s probably best to give them to Lifeline so she can call down that care package as soon as possible.
- You can use your melee to bust through doors… I’m sure this is useful somehow… maybe.
And that’s it. Hopefully that will bring you one step closer to becoming a champion. I will add more to this list if necessary.
