At this point, we have received quite a bit of information about what’s to come in Monster Hunter Rise. More so in recent days since the game will release in a few weeks. There is a lot in Rise that will be the same as it is in Monster Hunter World, but there will be differences.
Now that we have a good bit of information I thought it would be good to point out some of those differences. Some of these will be well known, others you may have missed.
New Gimmick
Like the clutch claw gimmick in Monster Hunter World, we have the wirebug in Monster Hunter Rise. This wirebug, for the first time ever, allows us to ride monsters and use their attacks. We also get new weapon attacks using this wirebug called silkbind attacks.
Switch Skills
We know that the wirebug will provide silkbind attacks but there are also Switch Skills. Switch Skills allow you to swap out one of your weapon moves for another, changing your play style. Each weapon will have 3 different moves that can be swapped out. These will be unlocked as you progress through the game. You can check them out here.
No Cold or Hot drinks
Yep. Cold and hot drinks will be removed from the game. Not sure if this will take anything away from that Monster Hunter experience but it will be one less thing we will need to worry about.
Craftable Decorations
No longer will decorations be up to RNG like it was in Monster Hunter World. In Rise, we’ll go back to crafting decorations. People will be able to complete their builds faster. How you go about crafting them is yet to be told, but I would imagine you craft them the same way you craft weapons and armor. Gather the correct materials. Craft the decoration.
Fyi, decoration levels are making a return in Monster Hunter Rise!
Full Armor Toggle
In Monster Hunter World, you were able to toggle your head armor on or off. So if you didn’t like the head armor but wanted to keep it on for the stats, you can just hide it. In Monster Hunter Rise, you can do this with all armor pieces.
I will have more Monster Hunter Rise information coming. Especially when the full game releases on March 26th. Follow me on Twitter to get notified of any new posts and check out the Monster Hunter Rise category.
