Monster Hunter is a game where you can pour hundreds of hours into it and still find things you didn’t know. Today I will attempt to fill your minds with Monster Hunter Rise tips or information that you may have missed. At the end of the post, if you enjoyed it and/or found something useful do me a favor and on your way out share this post. But without further delay, let’s get into it.

Cut end of mission scene

After you finish a mission, hang on your wirebug 5 seconds before the mission ends to skip the end cinematic and go straight to the reward screen. Unless, of course, you want to pet your dog after a hard day’s work. You can also do this by climbing a wall or jumping off a cliff right before the end screen. Basically, as long as you’re not touching the ground so the floor is lava.

Mine parts of monsters

You can grab materials off the backs of both Basarios and Zinogre. Basarios can be mined when it falls over or sleeps underground and Zinogre when he falls over.

Get more items from Boulder Lizards (and probably others as well)

When you find a boulder lizard, instead of pressing A, hit it with kunai. You’ll be able to hit it up to three times and get item drops each time.

Buddy skills

In case you didn’t know, your buddy skills need to be set manually. Go to the buddy board and into buddy skills. You can place as many skills as the skill memory allows.

Stack the charms and talons

You can stack the Powercharm and Powertalon together. Same with the Armorcharm and Armortalon. They both will give you an increase in your attack and defense when placed in your inventory.

Set Rampage skills before upgrading weapons

When upgrading your weapon, you may get to the point where you can upgrade it into a new branch of weapon. Before you select with branch you want to upgrade it to, add a rampage skill to it. The new branch will have a new set of rampage skills, but you can carry over one of the previous rampage skills. That rampage skill may be better than the options in the new set of skills.

Rampage mission sub assignment trick

When doing rampage missions, if you have a sub assignment that requires setting up a certain amount of hunting installations, you can simply go to one of the installations and keep adding and removing it until you have completed the requirements for that assignment. This will unlock cannons and you can do this before the rampage starts, which means you can start the mission with cannons.

Cohoot

while you have your Cohoot on your arm, you can make it fly to certain areas of the village by pressing ZR and it might interact with something depending on the area. These points will be marked by a red triangle. Walk your Cohoot throughout the village and see what it does in each area.

Search for armor by skill

If you’re looking to craft certain armor that has a certain skill at the smithy, you can search for it by that skill at the smithy and it will bring up all the armor pieces that have that skill.

Rakna-Kadaki

Lastly, when fighting Rakna-Kadaki the head is the weak point. However, it only becomes a weak point when extended out from its body and out in front of its fangs.
