Every time I find myself drifting away from Destiny 2, something always pulls me back. This time its Shadowkeep, the next DLC for Destiny 2. With Bungie’s new found freedom, several much-needed highly requested changes are coming with it.
So I’m going to talk about it in this post. All the information about Shadowkeep, coming to Destiny 2 on September 17, 2019. The return of Artifacts, systematic changes to armor and the game, Eris Morn and more.
Cross Save for Destiny 2
Bungie mentioned that they wanted to add cross-save since the launch of Destiny 2 but there were “Reasons” why they couldn’t ( *cough* *Activisi-**cough*). Now, those “reasons” are no longer there and they intend to use their new found powers to their full extent.
This means players will be able to play their characters on any platform. So if you’re on Xbox and you want to bring your characters over and play on PC, you can. Same with PS4.
The “New Light” Feature
Their goal here is to make it simpler for new players to join alongside veteran players. New light brings a bit of nostalgia starts you off exactly where we all started, on earth near the Cosmodrome. Awoken by your ghost.
No More Exclusives (PS4)
New light will allow players to play Destiny 2 and all of its foundational modes, activities and get all the rewards… free. It will come on September 17 and it
Those
Were Going Back to the Moon
This has me excited. We are going back to the moon, but it won’t be like how we remembered it. It should be twice the size of the origional version. And there is a new darkness unlike what we are used to.
Artifacts Are Back
Bungie says that as you progress through the perk system of the artifacts, they will begin to almost feel like exotic perks. Not too much word on how it works just yet. Maybe they’ll bring back some artifact perks from Destiny 1..
Armor Perk Changes
We will now be able to take perks from one piece of armor and place them on other pieces. This is so we can put perks that we like on armor pieces that we like the look of.
Finisher Moves
Yes, we will apparently have finisher moves. Each class will have its own style finisher. How these work exactly isn’t clearly known.
New Raid
After careful consideration on the location of this raid, Bungie decided to go with the Black Garden. I’m curious to how the storyline behind this raid will go.
Crucible?
Bungie is focusing on working on the fundamentals of how the Crucible works. Polishing it. I would expect Trials to return once they are finished.
Bungie will be releasing more information up until release. Be sure to follow me on Twitter to get notified when I release new post. If you did not see the ViDoc, here it is:
