A commercial was released showing a scene of hunters fighting Kirin in Monster Hunter World.
For those of you who may be new to Monster Hunter, Kirin is an elder dragon famous for being tough to take down. Their hide goes beyond the sharpness of most weapons which means a lot of weapons will reflect off and dull out a lot. Their agility makes it hard for anyone with a heavy weapon to get hits.
Their horn is the achilles heel of this monster and a much sought-after prize. It’s extremely sharp, which is good for making weapons, but extremely fragile, which would be your focus point when fighting this elder dragon. Most of its attacks will come from here.
In addition to all this, Kirin can summon lightning to strike attackers, or the area around it. So when facing it make sure you pick armor that has resistance to lightning. If I remember correctly, he can take you down in one or two hits even with resistance so be careful.
